Still, the group predicts the cannabis industry will grow to $50 billion. The U.S. beer market sells over $100 billion in beer each year, according to the National Beer Wholesalers Association . If marijuana were legalized nationally, the beer industry would lose more than $2 billion in retail sales, the Cannabiz colorado marijuana Consumer Group says. The group anticipates the cannabis industry will take just over 7% of the beer industrys market. Other studies have supported this concept.
